Have to take a look at the system preferences to see if I can change the virtual keyboard to CH instead of USA (hopefully yes).

It is fancy but I am not impressed though. Managed to repair a dropped one for friend of mine, very expensive spare parts (for now).

A pleasure to look at
A pleasure to use
Fast
Smooth
Stable
Many apps
Keeps me off the (loud, large cable ridden) PC
Better than a laptop
Battery life
Video and Picture playback
Criticisms
Slow to charge off USB / No standard USB charger
No standard external ports / limited storage capabilities.
Drops off my 'N' network a lot. 'N' network cannot be reached 20M/2 rooms away. No problems with 'G'
Some infrequent small issues with picture browser crashing
Screen needs cleaning frequently, but it's easy to clean
Charging lead supplied is a bit measly/short. I don't like the lead going in at the bottom, it inteferes with my belly balancing browsing.
Can't read the supplied literature. Print is far too small (Maybe I am going myopic)
Apps in App store are 2-3 times the price.

You can make the text font larger, from what I know... |

Anywayzzz...I checked out the iPad App Store and I think that a lot of the apps are at a pretty reasonable price, but I did notice a lot of people complaining in the comments section about the apps crashing and being buggy !
And the prices of books on the iBook Store, yeah, that's a rip-off ! |

If an iPad says it works with n routers and doesn't all the time....that's not functioning as it should. So it is not fully functional.... |

| | Re: The Apple iPad | Quote: | | | | | According to the online-store, it's 7-10 business(!)-days waiting-time.
I doubt they have anything besides the demo-units.
That said, iTunes 9.2 seems to be available - the update applet just popped up.
So, at least I can get iOS4.0 on my 3GS on time.
To bad that you can't download hardware ;-) | | | | | And on the OS X front, Security Update 20101-004 for OS X arrived late on Tuesday evening and iTunes 9.2 landed late yesterday evening.

As for the latest blockbuster novels, again you can buy/download them from other sources and using very simple software convert them to the iPad compatible ePub format.
