The macbook air is 1.06kg...
Just saying. Also with bluetooth activated you won't get 10 hours out of the iPad. | | | | | ..and how much does the case weigh for the macbook? |

But the model you want depends a lot on your needs anyway.

Got an iPAD 2 from the US last week.. and have to say pretty impressed so far. Even though it looks like a steriod induced ipod touch but nevertheless the web surfing experience is great.
Even my two year old loves it to watch his favourite cartoon on you tube!

Anybody know if there is anything to the rumor that the ipad 3 is coming in October?
I'm debating whether it is worth getting an ipad 2 or if it would be good to wait a few more months...

My opinion is that they won't until next year. If they release a high resolution version this year, there will be a lot of peeved off iPad2 owners...including me....

Quick question for the Ipad users....the purchases I've made so far for my Ipod touch...would I be able to just synchronise the Ipad with my Itunes and they'd be on it too? That easy?

Alternatively when you see it in the app store, instead of 'purchase' it will come up with 'install' since you've already purchased it.
iPhone and iPod touch apps are okay on the iPad, but due to the increase in resolution of the iPad display in comparison to the iPhone and iPod touch, the pixels need to be stretched so they are really not great quality.
They do the trick though if there is no iPad equivalent |

The pixels aren't stretched per say...but more the distance between them is increased.

Some iPhone apps have been converted to dual iPad/iPhone and are free to upgrade.
Others force you to stick with the iPhone version or pay to buy the iPad version.
Not entirely unfair, 'cos they've put the effort in, but it's still a bit annoying.

There is an app in the cydia store called 'retina pad' which fixes the horrible quality problem and sharpens up any iphone or ipod touch apps for the iPad.
Before
After
The difference doesn't look great here...but on the ipad it's huge

The rumour mill surrounding an updated iPad 3 are really gaining speed and I must say I am quite disappointed by this, since I just got an iPad 2
Apple releasing two iterations of the same product in one year is rare...especially of the iOS variety.

Apple releasing two iterations of the same product in one year is rare...especially of the iOS variety. | | | | | The IP2 was a swift response to the Xoom etc , in an effort to retain market share, it sold well due to it being a newer version, with scant attention actually paid to the merits this new version offered. I resisted and maintain my IP1.
If there is talk now, it is marketing propaganda. Of course there is a new IP3 on the cards, but Apple have yet to show it off or talk about it, so it will be available at best, this time next year. Which is on par for Apple releases.
Apple love to feed the rumour machine, and are skilled veterans at keeping it fed discretely. If you are going to release a new version, release the rumour, bandy the new features, and watch the feedback on the Internet - "Missing this, better this, upgraded that..." etc etc
Price will be slightly less |

Price will be slightly less | | | | | The rumor mill is saying it will be an iPad HD with double the resolution (2048×1536), be thinner but otherwise the same.
It will be marketed primarly at graphics type users and come alongside the release of an iPad version of aperture at the same time as the new iPhone and iPod touches.
The rumormill really is buzzing with the iPad HD rumours...and to be honest I'd have loved a higher res screen.
Edit: The iPad HD and any iPad 3 are different.
