The mind boggles.

If you can't wait until then there is a very good app on the market called Timetable Switzerland. It seems to use the SBB data base. I find it very accurate for info on platforms and delays too. http://www.appbrain.com/app/timetabl...aggi.timetable |

Anyway - it's out already and offers the same functionality (e.g. tickets can be bought from within the app) as the WP7 and iPhone versions

A messaging replacement app that completely replaced the default one... | | | | | So I installed Handcent and it's mucho better than the stock Messaging.
But, now Messaging stills starts automatically, so when I receive an SMS, I get two notifications, one from Handcent and one from Messaging.
I can stop Messaging from the task manager, but how do I stop it restarting automatically when the phone boots? Or even uninstall it?

Or am I not understanding what you're after here?* Personally, I find it slightly annoying that it doesn't start automatically and I have to remember to switch it on when I leave WiFi.
* Given my level of technological aptitude, this is highly likely. |

I highly recocmmend the following apps:
Go Launcher is a homescreen replacement )like Launcher Pro) except imo quicker, and has all the features that the paid version of Lp has for free. Very, very nice.
Go SMS is a messagin proigram a la Handent, and again is very fast, slick, with a great interface. | Quote: | | | | | So I installed Handcent and it's mucho better than the stock Messaging.

My contribution to this useful thread : Navdroyd.
It is a navigation software. The big plus is that you can download maps to your phone so you don't need a cellular network connection. Quite useful when you are abroad : no more roaming!
Price : 6 CHF

I wrote another free app. I got sick of annoying timer apps where you had to press up/down several times to set a timer so, I wrote my own. You can download it from the Android Market: https://market.android.com/details?i...roidgram.timer
or with the QR code: |
