Thanks buddy, eh? Did you catch the CFL draft last weekend? Some decent shuffling and swapping gave us some nice picks.
Was listening to the Bobcat on the Fan 590 yesterday. they are thinking of picking up Jesse Lumsden. Argos are a mess right now...

Hey, we can't be perfect.

Let's start the conversation with the one thing you miss about Canada.

Right now, I'm missing St. Urbain bagels.

Have a good day, eh!
Not from Canada, but love Rush, Bare Naked Ladies, Neil Young, etc.

Lived in Minn/St. Paul so very close to CA.

Ooh, Bob and Doug Mackensie.

No, he came from south of the 49th.
True, I guess, he was born in Valdosta GA. Now I know why he was so au fait about hicks and red-necks. Please, don't flame me, I was born, raised in the back woods of the midwest.

Damn, but Hicks was right on!

Sorry, back to our regularly scheduled topic.

Did you have the "correct baloney?" If you used the whole baloney, you can cut it as thick as a ham steak. Cooked over a fire on the shore of a great lake on a cold and overcast day and...

Eek, I was starting to flashback.

Damn, I just realised that would be over 30 years.

Re: The Canada Thread

Why hasn't anyone commented about Rush yet? Real music, local boys from YYZ. So here goes " RUSH", great music from Canada's finest. And Neil Peart wrote some pretty heart rendering books as well as song lyrics.

Not the biggest Rush fan, but appreciate the music. They recorded alot of stuff in my hometown of Morin Heights P.Q., and Neil Peart lived just down the road from my place.

Things being open past 1900 or on Sunday.
Eating out in Vancouver, for variety, quality and price it is unbeatable.
Sunday Dim Sum at the Pink Pearl then around the corner to La Casa Gelato for one of the 137 flavours.
Brew pubs
Costco
Sailboat racing on English Bay.

Why focus on that?! tell me a country that doesn't have bad musicians?
How about Feist, Diana Krall, Glenn Gould, Arcade Fire, Metric, Bedouin Soundclash....thats just a couple coming off the top of my head!

EDIT: Has been brought to my attention that this may be missunderstood. Those are examples of what I consider to be great musicians from Canada.

Right now, I would love to watch the Habs beat Pittsburgh (series tied 2-2) and then a few Sleeman's wouldn't go amiss. Go Habs Go!
