The Canada Thread

A Thread for all things Canadian, the true North strong and free and birthplace of America's funniest comedians (John Candy, Jim Carrey) and some of the World's worst musicians (Celine Dion, Nickelback).

Hey, we can't be perfect.

Let's start the conversation with the one thing you miss about Canada.

Right now, I'm missing St. Urbain bagels.

Have a good day, eh!

Regarding prairie oysters, I must say that you mainlanders do eat some strange things.
Yeah cuz eating plain white bread soaked in water is so normal.

Are you talking about Newfs? Wrong island, sweetheart.

Us Cape Bretoners are much more refined than that. Fried baloney with ketchup, anybody?

Although right now I could totally go for a good scoff of lobster. May-July is lobster season in CB, and once again I'm landlocked in Europe.

I've only heard of Newfies refer to us as Mainlanders so I presumed. By your red hair, I should have known otherwise.

There certainly are alot of Mc's and Mac's. I always thought it was just the local dialect.

Don't be hard on Hash, he has to travel East past the Manitoba border. Besides, he rarely finds himself outside the downtown eastside.

And yes, you do have some strange food, although I could always go for a Donaire.

Thanks buddy, eh? Did you catch the CFL draft last weekend? Some decent shuffling and swapping gave us some nice picks.
