The secret powers of time: something worth watching.

Professor Philip Zimbardo conveys how our individual perspectives of time affect our work, health and well-being. Time influences who we are as a person, how we view relationships and how we act in the world.

the waiting issue is so true, i hate waiting- i often wonder how much time i have wasted queueing at public toilets - there is never a queue at the men's (i have used the men's a few times when there was just too long a queue at the ladies)

now that i have moved to a country with no seasons (from seasonal switzerland) - it will be interesting to see the differences...
i think i dwell on the past too much - so i've been trying to live in the present...i think this constant hot weather should help

Yes, that was definitely interesting!

Swissotter - I have recently made the opposite move you made. I came back to Europe after 10 years in SE Asia.

My experience in SEA was not that it made me more relaxed, but rather that everyone else's being so laid back was intensely frustrating for me! I had plans, places to go, people to see, a schedule to keep. But they were all relaxing having a nice sweet teh terrak. lol It's a bit different in Singapore though as there are so many Chinese there. They can be quite driven!

Enjoy your tropical paradise! I'll be wishing for that hot relaxed life come winter.

Wow, thank you for sharing. I have had the same theory about countries close to the equator--not because of the constant sun, but because of the nice weather. If it's warm and sunny (and maybe you have beaches), then who wants to work?!
