Nope only one will be voted off! SO there is space for 4, hopefully Cher will go but really I do not see any future for Rebecca...she has a great voice but is not a performer...
Learning to perform takes time, and she is very very shy. You can't, however, pick up a voice like she has at your local car boot sale... it's a natural talent, so I imagine her future is pretty secure if she wants to keep on singing after the competition.

I respectfully disagree, some people are born entertainers. I hope she does develop into one though, she does have a great voice but really, at least to me, she is boring...

I know, but I meant she isn't a natural performer... so learning it will take time.

I agree with Angela re Rebecca. Amazing voice but sleepy dull as dishwater.

Fair enough, I have to admit I am rooting for Mary and One direction . I think Mary will be voted off though, unfortunately...But looking on the bright side, I am pretty sure she has changed her life forever already

Robbie Williams is a great entertainer. But is he the best singer? No.

Sarah Mclaclan is a great singer (sorry, random example as I am listening to her CD at the mo). Is she a great entertainer? No. But both still are hugely successful in their own ways.

Different strokes for different folks.

Re: X-Factor 2010

SR, you are right but what one person likes does not have to be liked by everyone else, and I just don't really like Rebecca. I do acknowledge that she has a great voice, but she does not do it for me so yes, different strokes for different folks ...or something?

I thought that everybody was off their best last night, didn't you?

And I suspected that everybody was pre-recorded - especially Matt and Wand Erection...it sounded way too polished and produced for live voices...

Re: X-Factor 2010

I've been to classical music concerts, and choral works. Even Carmina Burana (You say Carmeena, I say Carmina, you say Burayna, I say Burana - oh, let's just Carl the whole thing Orff ). It is possible to listen to and appreciate music and voices just for their own sake. I'd put Rebecca into that category.

Jumping around on stage, interaction with the audience etc. - performance - are another matter. But I enjoy that too - Freddy Mercury was a consumate showman. But I saw Bob Dylan a few years ago. Performance 0/10. Music 10/10. Sure, it makes a difference when you go to see them perform live, but just listening to their music? Not really.

Re: X-Factor 2010

I really love Rebecca's voice, I can easily imagine listening to her in a mix with Sade and a few others on a quiet night at home spent with my book, my cat and only enough light to read by. I don't imagine going to see her in concert, but then again, there are few concerts other than country or rock that I'd go to anyhow.

Although, as Caviarchips said, everyone seemed a little off to me last night, a little "trying too hard." None particularly bad but none really on top of their game either.

Re: X-Factor 2010

Mary has got to go, those harem pants she keeps wearing are hideous and she is just too old fashioned for this competition.

Love Rebecca's voice, but it will be interesting if she makes it to the final as they always give the top two,the song ( which they hope will be the christmas no.1) to sing, It'll need to suit her voice though,as she struggles to sing any song that doesn't. That's what caught Ollie out last year, the song was perfect for Joe but not for him. This is where Simon will 'fix' it for his boy band - they're seriously c--p. Harry is the only one worth lusting over.

Re: X-Factor 2010

Most of them were too crap for it to have been pre-recorded, so much of it was out of tune regardless of wht the judges said.

Matt's voice really did sound very nasal last night and there were some parts where you could hear that he was really really struggling. So I dont think so!
