Re: X-Factor 2010

I'm not saying Cheryl is an angel, I know very few people who are (VERY few) BUT... she was 20. I'm pretty sure plenty of people do stupid things at that age, including punching people for stupid reasons.

To hold her character into account now is rather dumb as well... unless you can come up with proof that it wasn't a "one off" thing and followed by more recent signs of violence toward others?

Meanwhile, about the whole Gamu thing, one of the stories linked alluded to Cheryl not picking her as a special addition because the producers advised against it. It sounds to me like they were trying their best to stay OUT of the immigration / legal issues that were about to hit the fan.

The sins of the mother though... As Gamu is (now?) 18, couldn't she get a visa on her own merit as opposed to being tied to her mother's as a dependent. Just because (if!) the mother did illegal things, why should Gamu *have* to be deported as well? Is the legal age of adulthood not 18 in UK? Of course I understand the (likely) scenario that if / since she was in country by grace of her mother's visa and the visa is revoked, she now has to leave until a new one is granted for her personally but folks are making that out to be impossible or a heinous disregard for regulations.

Now though, stories report that Simon is stepping in to help her - even though she's not to be included in this years show. Ahhh, Simon. Shark on one hand, pussycat on the other.

Personally I can't abide Ms Cole. She is playing the part, watch her eyes the emotion she is "feeling" never quite manages to reach them.
Sorry, like millions of others, I think she's a nice person. I'm sure she regrets the incident that happened when she was only 20. The press won't let it drop though.
It is proof enough of her popularity that she's on the cover of almost every magazine on the shelves, few people dislike her.
Anyway, back to X factor........

Re: X-Factor 2010

Matt was brilliant again, so was Rebecca Ferguson. The silly blonde surprised me by singing really well, but the one who has totally blown me away tonight is Aiden Grimshaw - WOW!!!!!!

What a great night of tv. There were lots of good performances, along with a few rubbish ones. I'm soooooooo not getting why Cher impressed the judges so much, she is so average.

Re: X-Factor 2010

Matt was absolutely fantastic as usual and I was totally impressed by Aiden's performance. However, the one that blew me away tonight was Mary Byrne! Confident and such a diva-ish performance. Love it.

What was Louie thinking bringing Wagner back though? That man's lost his marbles.

Re: X-Factor 2010

Indeed, it was a fantastic night. All performances were great thus making it really difficult to choose in particular order. Let me try though:

Belle Amie - 10/10
Aiden Grimshaw -9/10
Treyc Cohen - 9/10
Diva Fever - 9/10
Matt Cardle - 9/10
Katie Weissel - 8/10
Nicolo Festa -7/10
Mary Byrne -7/10

and so on and so forth...

I really liked Belle Amie and Treyc. I thought Nicolo was disappointing..and I really hope that Katie Weissel is one of those who leaves.. (with Wagner!)

Re: X-Factor 2010

I agree , she was very moving.. I did not get Wagner, was he better in the previous shows ? If not i really wonder why they call him back. I was also not impressed by Katie Waissel.. I found all the others quite entertaining and actually good. I have a soft spot for Matt.

Re: X-Factor 2010

I must have watched a different show ... or maybe it was just jey lag. Apart from the big Irish biffa, the rest seemed to have a real issue with holing a tune or singing in key.

Nicolo was weak
Diva Fever were second rate karaoke ... two very camp guys strutting around do not make up for lack of talent. Milli Vanilli part two
Bel Ame ... were they all singing in a different key , or do I need to adjust the telly?
