I'm too cool to watch the show.

So I didn't see this:

Skip to 1:35 if you just want to hear the song.

So far the auditions have been rather dissapointing, no really funny ones and not much talent about either. Let's hope that it improves over the coming weeks.

That's the new Whatshername (yeah, I truly can't remember that runner-up's name, maybe in another contest, that woman who sang, astonished the world, got hounded by the press and sort of broke down). This one seems more grounded, thank goodness.

I think she's got it much more together than Susan Boyle.

Hah, did you see that chav on there last night, the one with ludicrously ridiculous fake eyelashes and the 7-word vocab? She was like something straight out of Little Britain. "I like partying", yeah, and like... partying". Bet she's been banged more times than a judges gavel.

Can't believe she got through though, usually it's Louinatic who makes the awful decisions. Pussycat Dolls woman is a complete blank canvas though, irritating as chuff in that "i'll be nice as pie and say generically nice things" way. She does, however, have an amazing rack... which offsets that considerably. Still prefer Katy Perry though, sigh.

Who's that young girl (16) who looked slightly aneroxic? She was on, on the 4th Sept and so had her own style we thought she was brill.

Is this the one you mean?

Also, the one Richdog mentions... "chav" isn't a term I know very well, I think this is the gal meant though?

Cher (top) did quite well in BootCamp I think. I feel pretty confident we'll see her again.

Chloe though... she was LATE to the voice lesson even. No matter what her natural voice is like, she can't be bothered to put in any work. I'll be quite disappointed if we see too much more of her.

Then again... Jedward has a reality show now. I can soooooo imagine whomever it was who put them on TV also wanting to find something for her on TV as well.

Truly awful. Makes Little Britain erudite. More pricks than a dartboard as they say .

You know she was outed as a call girl by the british press, hardly a suprise.

she must be this year's Jedward.

It's about audience emotion; you want to hate her because she's skanky but they'll keep her in just to ensure you watch.

Re: X-Factor 2010

Shucks! I knew there was something I wanted to see on TV last night and completely forgot.

I did see Matt Cardle perform on Saturday evening, his voice is really fantastic. I love that song he's singing.

Hopefully Rebecca Ferguson can truly come out of her shell, she'll have a rough time if she continues to mostly just "look inward" as she's singing. While she'd still make beautiful records without it, they'll sell better if she connects with the audience better, which is what the judges will want.

I also like this Kaitie Waissal for the girls:

Re: X-Factor 2010

I have never been a fan of these type of shows- never watched them in the US but now I seem to be quite addicted to the UK version. I hope that guy Mark wins- he is amazing.

Re: X-Factor 2010

Matt Cardle has the most beautiful voice. He is so unassuming and not at all up himself like some of these freaks who can't even sing ( Diva Fever?)

I'm sure Cheryl will do all she can to promote Cher, she loved her from the off. However, she really messed up her audition, she was so off key. Dying to see her attempt some of the songs she'll be expected to perform. She's a one trick pony. Can't believe she's only 16, If I was her mother I'd be having a word.

The girl from Liverpool ( can't remember her name) is putting some of the scraggy girls to shame, she's beautifully groomed and is coming over well.I wish she'd stop crying though!

Love this programme to bits. I know some of you think that's sad, but whatever floats your boat eh?

Ooo... Ms Ferguson looks stunning but when she sang I was quite bored with her delivery and unnatural-sounding voice.

Mr Cardle has something there but needs some refinement.

Ms Waissal's voice is something that's easier on the ears than Ms Ferguson's.
