Center Parc information

Does anyone have any information on the Center Parc holiday villages?
I am looking to take my son for a holiday.

Re: Center Parc information

When my kids were young we went to Center Parcs many times.
Primarily because we lived within 20 miles of one and so it was so easy to get to but secondly because it`s a great holiday for families with young kids.
The focal point is a `tropical` waterdome in which there are saafe palces for the kids to swim and lots of exciting features like water slides.

Additionally there are lots of different sports activitly centres where you can try many things.
If you are already quite profficient at a sport there are tournaments like squash, tennis, 5-a-side football and badminton.
There are waterbased activities and off-site activities like mountian biking and horse riding.
These all cost extra of course but you choose and pay for what you want.

It`s a very safe environment for kids and families alike as no cars are allowed on site except for loading and unloading.

There are also bars, shops restaurants, bowling alleys and golf . . etc etc

I`ve seen quite a few groups of adults together just for a good lively weekend . . . but if you are looking for something quiet, then it`s not for you.

Overall - I would go!
Hope that helps,
Basher

Re: Center Parc information

Thanks very much for that, Basher. It sounds like what we are looking for. Coming from Basel, it seems it is not so easy to get to any of the Parcs, so I want to make sure they were worth the time and expense of the travel to get there.

Re: Center Parc information

My son and I did end up going to Center Park last Fall in Moselle and it was fabulous. Lots to do and the water dome was great. Just be aware that costs for the activities are extra. http://www.centerparcs.ch/CD/CH/feri...s_trois_forets

My 11 year old was so impressed, we are going back again this year.

Tip: Early booking will get you a 20% rebate and you can also pay with Reka.

Re: Center Parc information

We went to Reims parc le lac d'Ailette from Zug. There was one other closer, but it doesn't have a big indoor water park.

Thanks so much. I couldn't find a map with the locations on it!
