You got that wrong. That's a description of my female best friend

Where did the "kills bears bear handed" "has a large knife" "uhm...sits on the can" "sings in the shower" "protects" "quiet and charismatic" "chops the fire wood with one hand" "can gut a fish in 30secs" "understands technology, fixes my pc, light fixtures...." "cayacs, canoes and hunts" "owns at least one sling shot and a bbgun" "pyromaniac" "likes to get hands oily in the garage" "fixes my sewing machines" go?

Oh yeah, and "plays at least one noisy instrument"...
sings in the shower is a plus point??? wow. i'm doing better and better!

I dont understand how "has a boat on Lake Zurich" is in the same option as "has a dog" - and PS: this should have been a public poll.
anyone can have a dog. trying to raise the bar on each option.

tan and brown hair? easy
blue eyes? easy
tan and brown hair AND blue eyes? now that's getting trickier

besides, a poll can only have 10 options and women appear to be more fussy than a mere 10 point checklist

p.s. did think of making it a public poll, but didn't want to deter/embarrass anyone

Ha ha, I almost replied accordingly on the original thread.

Unfortunately, it's the blue eyes that always removes me from consideration.

Good at filling in surveys TICK

These surveys should end with the question "Have you been 100% truthful in this survey"

Chalet and boat optional though, as is the dog. That should buy an extra few inches, no? Inches in height, before anyone gets any funny ideas...

huh? How is the age option more of a bias than any of the other options?
As Cannut said.

Any gent can pretty much correspond to part of the options, but you're excluding a whole category of population with your "under 38".

Totally agree. A man who is older than 38 is actually more interesting to me.

shame.... because I am super curious to see who've been so shameless to consider themselves "good looking".

The reason is because Phil is making the thread in response to something that lisa_bsl said (listing a semi-joking set of specific requirements for a man she wants to meet) in the speed dating thread. Yes, its somewhat weird, but this is Phil and we're all used to it by now.

Well, as much as I love my 27+ yr old hubby, I know that men over 38 are something to be appreciated in a different way. Better to leave them to those who can appreciate their qualities.

On the other hand, the last man I dated who was over 38 treated women like they "needed" him to take care of them while questioning every independent thing they did... and then wondered why he "never" found women who knew how to take care of themselves. Thankfully not all men are like that, and neither are all women.

Re: Men, how do you stack up?

Does being able to produce children who have blue eyes count?
Also, there should definitely be a "man vs wild" option in there - I mean, I managed to survive childhood in a country that has 90% of the world's most poisonous animals!

dog ?
age?
at the great risk of sounding deep, serious and mature
from where i am standing
how is owning things any standard of a partner ?
what about qualities such as:
does dishes
walks the dog
changes diapers
likes to talk at the end of the day
affectionate
friendly and outgoing ( a scale of 0 to 10)
child friendly
women friendly
actually LIKES women and enjoys their company
intelligence ( again a scale of 0 to 10)
politically correct
well....
I would groan at this if I could - what happened to keeping it light and fun - nothing too serious people

I am 5'5" so the 5'8" thing was so I can still wear heels aaaand the 38 age limit was because I am 27, and as much as age really is no issue for me but I think 10 years is a good target range
