customer service experiences

I just had to laugh... I've just had to phone two different companies in the states to either place, or chase up a previous order.

After I got off the line I explained to my colleague... err...Indian colleague..... the trouble I was having.

he told me he hates placing orders with the states as they ask too many questions, speak too fast, and he doesn't understand them.

We've come to an agreement... I'm going to handle any orders he has from the states and he will handle any problems I have with HSBC.

This reminds me of a joke my ex-sis-in-law told me.

First, I'll preface this by stating that the woman in question is from the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Q. Why is the teenage pregnancy rate so high in the south?

A. 'Cuz it takes to long to say ka-wee-i-t.

So, the speed of speech depends upon from where the American in question hails...
