It seems that virtually any information can be found on the Internet.

The internet is so fast and thorough that there have been several occasions where I have seen announcements on EF before they make the news here in the UK.

Is there any information from your home country/town that you cannot easily keep up to date with in Switzerland?

It could be the results from your local sports team that doesn't have a website, or perhaps you would like a webcam in the town you grew up in to see how it is changing.

Do you miss the gossip from your local pub/club or perhaps the scandal in your local newspaper?

Got family back home so I still hear about all the local issues - often in more detail than I really care to! What I miss though is the ability to skim the headlines, decide what interests me enough to read further and what doesn't...

I also miss the grocery store ads. Would love to phone Mom and discuss what's on sale where this week, what to stock up on.
(We've tried talking about what's on sale here vs. there, looking for some seasonal commonality - unfortunately even the "on sale" prices from CH are enough to give her a heart attack - and the normal "not-on-sale" prices back home already sound like bargains to me. )
