Re: Hairy women

As long as I have more hair that's all that really matters. Some hair is fine. Fur is not.

Re: Hairy women

I go to the gym 3 times a week and the amount of women I see going au naturel in this country is scary. They are parading to the shower totally naked and "showing off" to my disgust. Hairy armpits, hairy legs, hairy intimate parts...come on! I get that maybe some men like the intimate part hairy but legs and armpits? ewww!

The wierd thing is that these are usually young women in their 20's. Maybe something is wrong with the young men then

I know the extreme too: I've got a cousin who was heavily pregnant, her water broke and she started using her epilator: because the doctors and nurses at the hospital could have seen her having couple of hairs on her legs
I mean, c'mon..wouldn't be the last thing to think of in those moments??
This is not to say I'm for "au naturel"...I think it's not feminine..

I am not sure how I feel about these things...too overgroomed is rather professional street worker-ish... I do like women who are confident, and don't mind to see a tiny fuzz on them, esp if it's blond, and I like those who could care less, I mean couldn't care less about the gawkers in the gym lockers. But, fashion policing gets old, body hair policing gets equally old. Personally, I don't like to look like St Bernard, body hair does not make one warmer, sports is way better without it, but who cares what others think...

Wows, that's kinda extreme..She actually reached her legs while about to deliver? I didn't stop grooming myself at pregnancy, so I understand why girls want to do that when it is not easy, one feels better, less whale-ish. There were moments I needed assistance with it, hahaha...On the other hand, what's feminine and not is pretty much up to everyone's taste. There are people (think mostly guys, though) back home who think shaven bare chick is a huge turnoff, more like a school girl. I think people should do with their body hair what they feel like...

Re: Hairy women

Something which may or may not be of interest to some of ya'll...

Pheromones in Humans: Myth or Reality?

Quote:
Whereas animals release pheromones from their skin, urine, feces, and to some extent breath, most research on pheromones in humans indicates that the main odor-producing organ is the skin. For the purposes of this paper, the skin is what I will focus on. These odors are largely produced by the skin's apocrine sebaceous glands, which develop during puberty and are usually associated with sweat glands and tufts of hair. These glands are located everywhere on the body surface, but tend to concentrate in six areas1:
1) The axillae (underarms)
2) The nipples of both sexes2
3) The pubic, genital, and circumanal regions
4) The circumoral region and lips
5) The eyelids
6) The outer ear
The first four of these regions are generally associated with varying amounts of hair growth, which makes perfect sense, as the extremely large surface area of a tuft of hair is a very effective means of spreading an odor by evaporation. The fact that body hair and apocrine glands appear simultaneously at puberty is significant and suggests that body odor and its dispersal may be linked to sexual development. These supposedly non-functional structures, coupled with the olfactory system, would be called part of a pheromonal system in any other mammal.

I went looking for this because more than one has said something about being hairy being "less feminine" BUT the "reality" may be (and to some scientists "is") that all that shaving and scraping and grooming... makes them actually LESS feminine and more like, well, nothing but a carrier for non-human scents.

Personally speaking I think that the reality is that hairy armpits, legs, and other areas that arent kept trim is a turn-off for the majority of men nowadays. I would rather see a well groomed woman and smell her perfume, than a hairy one in all the wrong places who relied on her natural BO as a scent.

Well, sure but "only" because that is what you (pretty much all of us really) have learned is culturally acceptable.

I happen to like having clean shaven legs and such myself AND I like different scents of soaps and shampoos as well as perfumes but I think it's pretty funny that we go through all this trouble... and then spray ourselves with perfumes which have pheromones added in.

Strikes the same ironic chord to me as folks who have liposuction for this and that area and then have fat added to help smooth out wrinkles elsewhere.

People is funny creatures is all.

Re: Hairy women

I now feel fully informed. Thank you. I hereby express my deep respect for the infinite variety of nature as to attractiveness features. As to the hairy women of the OP, I refer to guys' experience that the women one likes to look at on a poster are not necessarily the ones one likes to touch intimately. Hence the dilemma for women in general: do you want to be looked at or touched intimately. Act accordingly to your intentions and let others act according to their intentions.

Well, although the thread started about hairy women...

Here is a link to Austin's 15th Annual "Hairy Man Festival" (from 2009 actually).

Re: Hairy women

I'm glad I'm with a guy who doesn't care about this sort of thing. He himself is very hairy, and likes variety. He asked me to deliberately grow my intimate area, and it's like a jungle at the moment. He also said I could take it all off if I wanted and he'd be happy with that too. He doesn't care if my legs and armpits are hairy (I was like a yeti a couple of days ago), but I wouldn't say it was a turn-on for him either (although he likes the fuzzy patch at the base of my spine). Being hairy himself, I think he can appreciate how difficult it can be to maintain body hair. Screw wasting hours grooming yourself, especially in winter. If I've got hairy legs and armpits, I wear clothes which cover them up, as I understand it's not culturally-accepted. However, I could never be with someone who required me to stay hair-free, especially given the exceptional rate at which my body hair grows. I wonder how men ever forced themselves to have sex with women before razors were invented

Re: Hairy women

Hmmm, I just don't like myself hairy, that's all, it's not about the guy I'm with necessarily, although in winter it's maybe a little bit easier...long sleeves, long pants...heaven )

You know, right after reading this topic my epilator broke down (damn you, Braun wet&dry) so I had to spend 170 CHF on a new one today...hopefully Philips make sturdier ones. However, even with the high price (I think) it's still worth it, given that a salon waxing I suppose is about 100 CHF ...grrrr expensive Switzerland!!!

Maybe some people just love the person. Disgust about an obvious natural human attribute, which by the way doesn't carry disease, evolution probably designed it to ward of disease. Times have changed, bathrooms are in most homes, basic hygiene is rife. Human nature dictates in many subtle ways what turns you on. I think I'm going to start "sniff a hairy armpit day"!
