Isn't it just because dogs aren't allowed to crap on pavements and/or it gets picked up before it has a chance to turn white.

Re: Mysteries of my home country

In a, boring day at work shocker, I have conducted some research into this and come across this article.

http://www.messybeast.com/cat-food-industry.htm

They stopped putting bone meal in the dog/cat food is the short answer as to why its no longer white.

Re: Mysteries of my home country

In the 80's the dog food manufacturers used to add calcium to dog food thinking it made the dogs bones stronger, this gave dogs white poo.

It was later discovered to be not beneficial at all, so they stopped it.

Re: Mysteries of my home country

Awesome answers ... the mystery is solved!

Heres another mystery

In the UK about the early 70's you used to have a nutty called a 'Banjo', they came in a red version and a blue version. I mastered and fine tuned the my technique of kiddie tantrums on the sweet shop floor when my Mum refused to buy me one.
Now heres the question 'what ever happened to the Banjo? did it become the Twix or what?' im baffled ?

I don't remember the Banjo bar. There was a great one called a 'Nutty Bar' though. A big bit of toffee/caramel covered in peanuts. Mmmmmmm
