I moved out of my place in Basel in end of November. When the inspection was done, it was all signed off and agreed that everything was in order and I get my full deposit back (woo hoo). I gave my bank account details, but I have never recieved the money? I chased it up with the rental company and they said it would be in my acount a week later (that was 2 weeks ago). In Australia there is quite strict rules that you must get your bond money back in 10 days or so. And its clear who you call to make a complaint againt a rental company if they do not follow the rules. Does anyone know who I can complain to in Switzerland? I have the signed piece of paper saying i should get all the money back, so its certainly against the rules that the rental company has not put the money into my account!?

The rental company new I was jumping on a plane back to Australia the next day, so im quite sure they are just seeing if they can get a away with it, so I want to lodge a formal complaint against them.

No need to start complaining yet. For Swiss standards it's not late yet. They can even take up to a year to pay you back. Don't worry. It won't take that long. But I'm guessing you'll get it after the holidays.
