hi there, can anyone recommend where I can look to buy a leather sofa here in Switzerland. I have looked at Natuzzi and Pfister but don't want to spend an absolute fortune given that we have 3 kids. thks.

Hi, I know you are looking to buy in Switzerland, but if you're anywhere close to the border with Germany, I'd recommend Möbel Markt in Dogern (http://www.moebelmarkt-dogern.de/). Unbeatable in terms of variety as well as prices. They are website is a rather poor representation of what they've got. The real thing is huge - 5 floors of endless furniture showrooms. Lots of EFers got their stuff from there as well . Oh, did I mention they deliver to Switzerland AND the price you see already includes that + mounting. Payment terms: 1/3 upon order, 2/3 upon delivery.

We have a sofa set we bought from Möbel Pfister several years ago and the quality is great. They often have specials and their service is excellent.
If on special you may pay less than in Germany.

To the OP, are you looking to buy used or new?

Hi. We have 2 Natuzzi couches. I think they are great quality. The first was purchased about 5 years ago, light beige leather-we have 4 little kids and the couch still looks amazing. I recommend you ask at Natuzzi when they have their biannual "Lagerverkauf" in Horgen. It lasts 2 days and the couches are reduced up to 80%. Really nice leather couches cost less than you'd pay at ikea. I believe the sales take place around June and December.

I got my leather sofa from Brotz Moebel in Murg, Germany. I don't want to know how much would have cost me something like that in CH.

I bought 2 leather two seater couches on www.Ricardo.ch for CHF 70,-- (Seventy francs!) 2 years ago and they still look good.

Have you looked and and rejected IKEA leather sofas?

If so would be interested if it was just the style/colour etc or something more, as I will probably also be soon looking there.

I have also used mobelmarkt dogern in DE. They have a huge selection and good quality items at much cheaper than CH prices. Its well worth the visit.
