| | House Keeper in Switzerland
I am getting divorced and the thought has crossed my mind, that when i move into my rented apartment i may get a live-in Housekeeper to clean up the place, buy food, wash clothes, iron shirts etc in return for a monthly allowance and free accommodation and food.
I know in other european countries (EU) it is relatively simple to hire a live in Au pair or Housekeeper for this purpose..just wondering if anyone has had experience with this subject in Switzerland .. |

On the one hand, tempted to groan at this... on the other, it was almost exactly what I was thinking. |

Or you could do it yourself? I believe that you'll have now a lot of free time on your hands... and not much to do for one person.

i could do it myself ..but as a 30 something i would like to help out the younger generation, and at the moment there are a lot of people looking to do this type of wage , open a new door, in a relatively lucrative country .
Oly see the link above , these people are paying only 200pw | The following 3 users groan at Number7 for this post: | |

Good luck finding somebody who does the cleaning, washing, ironing etc for 400F per month in Switzerland. |

I reckon if you're paying food and board and bills you might be able to get someone to work for 1000chf per month. Maybe. But the reality is there wouldn't be enough for them to do, so all in all a total waste of money.
Another well thought through idea, turned into a thread. Thanks

I imagine for you it would be safer to hire a 40 something to just come in and do housekeeping duties who would probably be glad of a few hours work. - and less distracting for you |
