Housing Safety

Hello all,
I was wondering if somebody out there knew who to complain to if the company looking after the apartments does not respond to safety issue. Is there somewhere you can complain to like a ombudsman who deals with house safety.

The issue is we have rented an apartment with a fireplace and the fireplace is just smoking the house within. We complain someone came to clean the chimney but nothing has changed. It is now 2 months and nothing has happened many people in the building moved to these flats because of the fireplace and since they will not fix it what can we do?

any suggestions?

Re: Housing Safety

Have you written to them about the matter ? You might then wish to escalate it to the Renter's Association ( MV Zurich ) - they charge a consulting fee ( cheaper in the long term were you to join them as a member ). Best to have photographs / videos with date and time stamps imprinted to show the MV.
