asking for help~couple stay in 1 piece studio

Hello,everyone,
I have a naive question to ask.
I am a phd student at EPFL, right now I rent a studio (1 piece) in the center of Lausanne, and acoording to the regulation of the contract, the room is "one person only".
But is that ok for my girlfriend to live with me in this studio if no one know?
I would like to rent a bigger apartment, but I am from non-EU country and finding a new apartment which have relative fair price and good location is really difficult for me....e.g 2-piece apartment that not far from center of the Lausanne usually cost more than 1100 CHF, which is a bit expensive for me..
I just want to ask is there anyone has similar case and will my behaviour violate the law in Swiss or it's tolerable..?
Thank you~~

If it's a contract , and you agreed to / signed it, then it doesn't matter whether it is right or wrong. Of course you can run the risk and move the GF in, but imho, your neighbours in similiar contracts/dwellings would soon smell a rat (not that your GF would smell like a rat)... You run the risk of being kicked out.

Look, if she is not officially registered as living there, she is NOT living there.

The four years I lived in ZH, I had a 1 room. My wife, both before and after we married, also had a 1 room. She was registered as living in hers, me in mine. Reality was, weeknights were spent at mine, weekend nights at hers. Never had a problem.

If she is registered at the same address you could get into trouble.
Best thing you can do is consult the billboards at EPFL or other places in the city.

Yes I agree, if she doesn't register as living there, she could be there secretly... It does save you money, but I don't think it's going to work long term. If she wants post, and an address, you'll have to have her name on your box, your neighbours will know for sure, if they did not guess already, and that might not please some people, especially if it gets back to the landlord. You could ask the landlord, but then if she moves in regardless, then it would be even more trouble.
