Reminds me of a story by an ex colleague.
He was visited by the police because of a neighbour who complained about my colleague walking around the house naked.

Luckily the police saw the funny side - the neighbour showed the police that to see my colleague she had to go to her staircase which turned half way down. Then she had to stand on a box at this turn & peer out throught a small window that was high on the wall & only at 6am.
Then she could see my colleague who slept naked & walked down his stairs every morning to the shower room.
I heard this joke to ,just little bit different

Re: Creepy Landlord - looking through window

Good way to keep those peeping Tom landlords out of your garden is with a motion detector water sprayer. I've seen similar devices in Coop.

Yesterday I was sitting in my living room on my laptop, when out of the corner of my eye I spotted the back of my landlords head as he was moving away from our window. We live on upper ground floor so window is not in normal eye line, you have to walk right up to it to look in.

I went to the front door to speak to him but he got straight into his car and drove off. Now I'm paranoid and watching the window all the time.

I told my partner and he said that maybe he was checking if it was clean etc. But still he has no right does he?
Maybe a nice letter taped to the glass will do wonder ,"Dear landlord the main-door is around the corner with the doorbell to the left "

Re: Creepy Landlord - looking through window

Landlords are not supposed to stare into your windows. Landlords are not allowed to enter your apartment without permission or advanced notification.

You've got a creepy landlord. Talk to him. Is he the owner of the flat? If no, then contact the owner and file a complaint.

Or contact HEV.

Maybe he's checking to see if he needs to get the window cleaner in.

Re: Creepy Landlord - looking through window

Why not just whip out your cell phone and take a picture of him peaking in. And then print it out and stick it to the entrance of your apartment door so that people can see his mug shot.

I'd do it because it would be funny as hell.

Re: Creepy Landlord - looking through window

Welcome to Switzerland. Your choices for your remaining experiences are
a) great
b) horrible
c) exceedingly weird

BTW, you don't really get a choice, just like shopping here. You DO get to pay through the nose for it though.

What is worrying me is that I have a teenage daughter who tends to lie around in skimpy shorts and strappy tops, its school holiday's at the moment.
So you asked the question and posted the answer.

You can't be serious?!? No, he is not allowed to look into your room. That is a rather serious invasion of privacy.

Re: Creepy Landlord - looking through window

The best solution to all this is to put up white net curtains (just about every house / appartment in the country has them) or (much more useful) fly nets around the edge of the window frame, so you don't get bug invasions in the warmer months. They're dual purpose!
