Had some celebratory pork steak with noodles and "Zigerbutter" last night. Don't tell DB I said this but it was actually quite nice. I think I'm going to like living in GL.
Also found out from a colleague that spring apparently comes two weeks earlier in Glarus, because you have the Föhn blowing right down the valley... makes sense but it never occurred to me! (Good thing we are not the type prone to headaches, homicidal rages and whatever the third traditional symptom is (can't remember now) - will have to be careful with the fireplace though. )
We saw this group just before Christmas. Shortly after they had taken part in the Swiss Talent Show at the end of January, Chrigel Weber had a horrific accident when he came home one night. Seems he will go on making music with the rest of the group though. Glarner guys are make of stern stuff.
Sorry, Off-Topic guys. But you know what you have to live up to now. None of this man-flu = staying in bed, badly stubbing toe = expecting to be waited on hand and foot.

Just an update. As you've already read, the landlord liked the look of us and offered us the apartment on the spot. Contract's been drawn up, signed, stamped, and we officially take possession tomorrow.
So we're going down there this afternoon to pick up the keys, sign the handover protocol, etc. and we've been asked to...
... wait for it...
BRING CASH.

It is probably obvious but get a receipt.
Good luck with the move and letting your old place.
