But I think we can not just look away when people abuse of power or doing unfairly (I am talking general not about my case).
Many of you suggest just to go on and do not think more in my money, but that doesn't go with me. I will assume that I lost the money when I can not do anymore...As I said before It is not the 1150CHF she wants to keep. It is the unfair of some points. She can not just go that easily. But that is what I think, I know you do not agree. Probably a cultural difference between latin and anglosajon. To me it will be a longer stress to remember everyday what happened. Making action I feel better and at the end even If I do not win anything at least I will feel calmer because I did what I could. | |

It sounds like you have just run into someone who is doing "business as usual" here in Switzerland. We've all heard stories about deposits and crazy claims by the owners of apartments. For our first apartment here, it sounds like we also had the same sort of arrangement that you had with your owner. When we moved in, it sounded like there would be no issues with getting the deposit back. At the end of it, we never did. We tried to contact the woman to get a closing statement, but she never called back. Eventually, we decided the effort wasn't worth the amount of money we were talking about (we just warn people to stay away from her).
I will say that when I read these stories, I do wonder what will happen when we leave the apartment we are in now.....our landlord didn't want a deposit!!! He just said that if he doesn't trust the people, he doesn't rent to them. From that statement, I think we are ok. It will be interesting.
I hope things work out so that you are happy.
