Hi, I am just wondering could anyone send me links to genuine letting agents in the Zurich area?
Thanks

Hi Louth_1,

Below is a good sticky to read that may help in giving some general thoughts on how things work rental wise in Switzerland. Also if you do some searches on the forum I think it will be a good basis to find out a lot about the rental market here.

FAQs - you SURE your question/problem/requirement is unique? Look here before asking

In short you don't generally go to speak to letting agencies directly here in Switzerland. What happens is that you go and see places, flats, on pre arranged visiting days usually advertised through a website such as: www.homegate.ch . Then you fill in a application form and you might be a lucky person out of all the people that applied to get selected.

If you are looking to share a place with another person that you haven't met try this as a start:
http://wgzimmer.ch/

These are just websites to get you started to show what is out there as there is lots of information out there on this forum if you do some quick searches. Once you come back with more specific questions that haven't been asked before people will be a lot more helpful I should think.

Good luck - finding a place to live in Switzerland is not normally easy!

P.S.

If you check out the homegate website you will see the names of the letting agencies on each individual advert when you click through on places you like the look of (if they are not private adverts), as I realise I haven't really answered your question directly - I hope that this helps, if this is really what you want, but I suspect you won't end up applying this way through an agency.
