Tips on buying in Switzerland when not living there

Hello all,
I am new to the site.
My partner (who is Swiss) and I would like to buy somewhere in Switzerland for holidays and (perhaps) to rent and lend to friends.
We are looking around Valais, Fribourg or Vaud.
I am struggling with pulling together the requisite information for our situation - i.e. the regions we are looking at, the fact that we live in the UK but my partner is Swiss.
Does anyone have either any personal experience I could tap into, or a recommendation of a good site, or professional adviser to ensure we are looking at the whole picture (e.g. tax liability, deposit required, mortgages, etc.)
Thanks in anticipation and feel free to message me directly.
Best,
Paul

Welcome to the Forum.

This Forum is really intended for 'foreigners' living here, or planning to do so, helping them to sort themselves and their everyday affairs out in Switzerland. It is not a legal advice office. You might get some tips here, but you might get answers which are not entirely accurate.

Welcome to the Big F,

Probably easier if you both sat down with a Mortgage rep from Credit Suisse. They really helped me understand their unique process when I bought in Zurich. Best if you have at least 20 percent deposit of what you are prepare to pay for a property. You will need this before they will consider your mortgage application.
