Advise needed living arrangements, 22 year old moving to Lausanne to work in Monthey

Hey I am new to this forum; I am originally from Ireland and just finished my degree in Liverpool. I am moving to Lausanne in July to work to in Monthey and am looking to flat share with people in Lausanne. I donít mind moving in with guys or girls, students or young professional. If any on has any help or advice that would help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Pottzy

Have you measured the distance from Lausanne to Monthey? Monthey is a decent town, I would think about living there.

Distance is 53 Km, driving time 45 minutes

Are you going to work at CIMO? Very nice people there! http://www.cimo.ch/

This flat would cost about CHF 1'600 per month, http://www.immoscout24.ch/IS24Web/_V...104330&index=2

You beat me to it Ittigen. Lausanne accom is very hard to find- even flat shares, whereas it would be much easier and cheaper in Monthey. Lausanne to Monthey is a fair trek on a daily basis and would really eat into your time and budget. And if you like skiing, Monthey is right on the doorstep to the Portes du Soleil area.

Hello PotTzty, I just wanted to as a fellow irish man welcome you to the forum. I'm sure you will find life in Switzerland a whole different experience (in a great way) than living in Ireland or Liverpool. Theres a lot of us Irish moving to Switzerland lately.

If you got any questions re Switzerland pm me if u wish, although in sure if you use the search function you will find that 99% of your questions are already answered.

Unfortunatly I cannot give you advice about accommodation in Lausanne as I live predominantly in Basel. However for flat share try www.wgzimmer.ch it throws up 33 results for people looking for flat mates.

Best of luck

Travnett
