Between city & airport - where would you go?

Hi all - I'm moving to Zurich and going to be working near the airport, in Balsberg. I'm looking at the option of finding somewhere to live which is mid-way between the airport and the city. In an ideal world I'm 15 mins from Balsberg tram (maybe 20 mins) or train stop, and 10-15 mins from HB. What I know is:
- Kloten, Glatt and Opfikon can be noisy and very "airporty". So these are prob a no-no
- I also know that a lot of the places I pick are going to be very urban / built up
- The options I know about are Oerlikon, Seebach or Bulach
- It is just me and my GF, no kids, we plan to be social and also spend some time at the lakes etc. We also will only be in zurich for 1-2 years

The questions I have are:
1) which of these 3 (oerlikon, seebach and bulach) would you pick and why?
2) Also have I forgotten anywhere else? Is there anywhere else on the attached map that jumps out at you?

Live in Glattbrugg 7 Opfikon.Nice place, low taxes than Oerilkon.
only negative is Plane noise at someplaces

The city centre is much nicer in my opinion, and only a few minutes train ride away. Wipkingen could also work.

Are you planning to go to work by train or car or bike ???

Hi all - to answer some questions. Will be getting to work by car or train. MAybe even a bike in the summer if possible now and then.

About city - sounds good, but am a bit worried about budget. We're maxed out @ c. 2500 CHF (total rent) per month for a nice 2 bed. What areas could we get for that? Think once we start to go down towards lake the commute will be 30mins+. Shorter the better really.
