Lachen [seeking information about area]

A wonderful good day to everyone,

I am in the process of confirming a flat in Rotbachpark Lachen. The place came recomended by my collegagues, some of whom will be staying there.

Catch is that I am roughly 7000 miles away and making decisions based on advice from a future colleague( which has been really great) and shots from a digital camera.

ANyone has any insight into this place, in terms of recreation nearby for my wife and 4 year old daughter? I already know the standard stuff like distance to train station, supermarket, kindergarten, office. I am looking for the frivolous stuff, which I dont want my CH colleagues to get the impression I am going to CH not for work but another extended holiday.......... which in all frankness I probably am.

For example, I see there is a ski lift in Innerthal, which is like 15 minutes away. Is this a skiiable locality?

Information greatly appreciated and thank you in advance

Re: Lachen

see www.rotbachparklachen.ch also google earth/ maps for all amenities.

Innerthal is most likely useless for skiing - too low and small, but Hoch Ybrig is not far off.
