Finding a house/room has been hell! Morges?

So as the topic states it has been hell trying to find a place to stay at least at affordable prices.
Anyway i finally managed to find a room in Morges.
I will be studying at EPFL, starting september and will be there for a year.

So how is Morges? Nightlife and day life aswell.

How far from EPFL is it? And from Lausanne? Are there any 24hr transports from to EPFL and Lausanne?

Thank you.

Re: Finding a house/room has been hell! Morges?

btw, just in case i got the room for 500 CHF and only have to pay in month rent upfront.
She was very kind when i talked to her on the phone, and she said she could not take pictures (seemed strange) but it was ok to visit.
I found her name, phone and address she gave me on this pdf on this website:
http://www.elementarpaedagogik.ch/orga.htm#institute
So her data seems to check out ok, if the site is legit. (Can anyone confirm they know the website?)
She also seems to run a daycare center in the same address according to the website.

What do you think? Too cheap? Too good to be true? or does it seem legit.
Since her name, phone and address appeared on the site above, she even gave me her cell phone number. and was available for visits. It seems legit to me.

I have received a number of scam emails and hers did not look like scam at all, and after i talked to her on the phone even less. The only thing that seemed suspicious was the no pictures, but since she was available for visit.

Use www.sbb.ch and put in your address and the address you want to go to. It gives you all the public transport options available.

Morges is very pretty but quiet and is exceedingly quiet on Sundays (but so is the rest of Switzerland). I can't comment on the nightlife in Morges. Some of the restaurants are very nice but I don't know about clubs etc. Lausanne Flon has more of the clubbing nightlife if that's what you're looking for.

Best of luck with your move.

And you'll be at EPFL?

Ill be sending the money to the tenant, to make a reservation.
I just spoke with her on the phone.

I would be very wary of sending money to reserve a room without visiting first. Especially at that price, which seems very cheap. Could be legit, but I wouldn't risk my money.
