Any English speakers in Dielsdorf?

Hi,

My name is Alison, and I am moving with my Husband, 18 month old daughter, and baby-on-the-way to Zurich in August.

We are struggling to find accommodation that suits us with the time frame we have (11 month stay), and have seen an apartment in Dielsdorf. I appreciate it is not Zurich centre, where I will find more playgroups and English-speakers, but at the same time, the accomm in Zurich centre is very small, not necessarily in child friendly areas (of the appts that are avail for us in a months time!), and in honesty, I am not a city person.

We would like to know if anyone lives in Dielsdorf that speaks English, and if play groups etc also run in that area, with English-speaking Mums?

Thanks for any input

Alison

I think you said you were not going to have a car, in which case, I am not sure Dielsdorf will be a good solution. I don't know of any playgroups there, sure there are expats living around there, but not many.

Is it one of the SBH flats you are looking at?

Hi Alison,

My name is Amanda. My family and I just moved to Oberweningen only 1 month ago. We are here to stay for quite some years, that is, if we like it here :-) I too would like to meet with English speaking mums and kids, so my son (5 y) can retain his English (we are originally Dutch but lived in Canada for the past four years).
