my husband and i just moved to geneva and we were trying to get a quote to do up curtains for an apartment that we will be renting.

Pfister came by and quoted ridiculously expensive for just 2 bedrooms.

Would anyone have any private contacts for the geneva area?

Manor will also make up curtains, still not cheap, but could be better than pfister, who seem, on the whole, ridiculously expensive.

Try Manor or Coop. Still not cheap, but acceptable prices - in our case Manor was about 50% cheaper than Pfister and did a good job.

If you have specific requirements/sizes, I recommend that you ask the supplier of the fabric to sew them. Over the years, I have had quite a few curtains made and more than once I had to go back because they were still too long/short, damaged, not sewn straight etc. Suppliers would redo them until I was happy.

A 3rd person might be cheaper but it could also be more difficult to claim warranty.

It is close to Micasa. We were looking at tailor-made but at the end we ended up buying mostly readymade ones... except for two rooms we got it tailor made at Manor...

I got mine from Home Outlet on Hegibachplatz. The owner is lovely and speaks good English. They have really nice materials and many on sale. The price is low enough for Zurich. Definitely recommended.
