As said, depends where and what the deal is. I sold off 1 of my weeks in UK overnight, by word of mouth - for almost as much as I'd paid for it 10 years before. I'd also enjoyed Country Club facilities all year for the whole family for all that time- and the maintenance fee was a fraction of a 'Health club' membership + we got a fabulous holiday in various places all over the world for all that time.
So yes. be very careful - but it can be very good value. Where could you get Health club membership for 4 + 1 week of luxury holiday for 4, for about £450 a year? How much do you think a week in a luxury 2 bed, 2 bath apartment for 6 would cost in Verbier in Feb, or a Spa week in Leukerbad in July?
