Cheap at this time of year are the camping sites. You might try looking for a holiday in a mobile home.

For a few weeks, I could recomend the furnished apartments with city apartments - with cleaning service, all other expences paid.

We used City Apartments in Zug. The service was good and the apartment nice but I would not consider them cheap.

Seconded. You might have to find two or three hosts that are willing to break the time that you spend with them up a bit as two weeks is quite long but couchsurfing is the way to go.

I have been a member for a long time and used it many times. Trustworthy and loads of fun. I stayed with a great guy here in Basel for 11 days, had my own room, own set of keys and the freedom to come and go when I pleased. All for the cost of some reciprication within the community and a couple of drinks.
