documents for viewings

Hi,

Are there any documents the landlord would like to see before even thinking of renting me his place?

I have heard that I have no chances without a job contract, reference letters and the Auslanderausweis.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Re: documents for viewings

There's a Thread with tips on how to be the best 'candidate' for a flat. It might have something useful in there.

Re: documents for viewings

you need:

Contract of work/or partners
B permit (L will do also but drastically lowers chances)/passport copy
poursuites (paper stating you are clear from any debts or outstanding crimes etc)
last 3 payment slips from work if possible

That should be about it ( atleast what I remember right now)
