I'm moving out and need a cleaner

Hi all,
I need your help

The end of september I'm moving to a new apartment, and I will need to leave the old one clean and sparkling!

I was wondering if you know any cheap (cheaper than companies) cleaner available for such a work?

I found one (who asks about 600 CHF) but she is already busy those days.

Thanks a lot!
Valentina

The cheaper you go, the more likely you will have to do it yourself afterward. Especially if the new renter is Swiss!

Use a company as they determine the price from a quick look see, then you agree price sign and all the subsequent problems will be theirs. Well besides the things you may have damaged.
You may be lucky but we have moved 4 times and going cheap is not a great idea.

Re: I'm moving out and need a cleaner

I found a great website called Ofri.ch. You put in the size of your apartment and that you are requesting offers for umzugsreinigung or endreinigung. You can also say that you want an abgabe guarantee - guarantee that the cleaning is accepted. You specify the price you want to pay and then the offers start coming in! I got offers even lower than the price I said I was willing to pay. The companies offering the services are verified through the website and also each user gets the chance to provide feedback on the service provider.

Good luck!!

Make sure you get a guarantee even if its cheap!! That way if there are any problems, the cleaners have to re-do it!

I'm in the same situation - soon moving and wonder if it's even an option in Switzerland to do the cleaning your self or will they not be "happy" with that?

I mean, how hard can it be to do a proper clean of a 2 room flat?

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks,
Johan

it's possible to do yourself, but there are many tricks you need to know where you can be caught out. i think there might be a thread on EF which lists various things.

but it does take a hell of a lot of time!
