Hi,

I am relocating to Geneva in a few months time and was looking for some advice as to which areas in and around Geneva I should be careful about renting or buying in.

I can't seem to see any similar posts on here so any advice would be very helpful.

I don't live IN the city anylonger but from what I know there are no absolute "no-go" areas.. even the red light district, the Paquis, is favoured by some for its.. shall we say mix of culture.


EDIT.. and where you want to look for an aptm or house will probably be defined on where you will be working.. do you know that as yet? .. try to avoid any commute which will take you across the bridges on a daily basis

Paquis is getting more dangerous by the day it seems, so depending on your level of tolerance or desire for mix of culture, it could be a no go area.

Personally I wouldn't find it comfortable nor peaceful living there, but to everyone their own.

ps--if in doubt, search Paquis on this forum and you will get a better idea.
