burn the wooden floor

hi,
by mistaken I left cigarette on our wooden floor and now there is a black mark on wooden floor , now after reading so much about even for cleaning cost i am afraid that how much i have to pay for that ... do I need to change complete wooden flooring or just that specific burned area and also before doing that should I contact with my landlord for the same ...Thanks for ur help in advance .

Just replace the burnt block, and have an expert (or yourself if skilled) polish and blend the block into the same shade. The repair should be invisible.

do you have insurance? If yes, don't worry; if no, consider getting it.

I thought we were going to talk about burning these horrible wooden floors and talk about installing FABULOUS wall-to-wall carpeting. I was excited there for a moment.
