I'm thinking of moving to Lausanne (like closer to civilization and all)...
Can anyone please advise what are Lausanne quiet residential areas (quiet is the key word)? Also which are nice to live for foreigners and like prestigious (? not sure about the right word)... No kids, no need in anything nearby.
I'll need to drive to work every day so in general I don't need a train station nearby (except for only for guests visiting).

Chailly-sur-Lausanne is pretty nice and quiet but well connected by public transport. I don`t know how prestigious it is though and what specific requirements foreigners have compared to the locals.

I find the eastern side of Lausanne very attractive.
I live close to the Parc de Mon Repos and within a few minutes walk of the centre of Lausanne.
It's expensive, but what isn't around here?

I agree with ceppych, the east side of Lausanne is very nice. But to be honest, depending on your budget, the market is such that you will have to keep an open mind about your preferred location. Lausanne is not a big city and as long as you are away from a major road, there is no problem with finding a quiet neighbourhood.
