I have now realized that there is no such thing as an official housing inspector in switzerland, so what are my options when I buy?

Is the seller resposible for having an inspection done before the property transfer? I read that that might be the case in another thread, but it was from few years ago and there was no conclusion to this question.

Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
