St. Prex

Anyone here who's currently living in St. Prex or have lived there in the past?

My wife and I are in a process of driving around and getting acquainted with Geneva-Lausanne stretch of land and St. Prex absolutely blew our minds, especially the medieval part. According to Homegate there appears to be quite a few high-end apartments available for lease, which is great news... unless I am missing something. Exorbitant sacs jaune prices? A Porsche per household requirement? Perhaps they only let in vegetarians with exactly 3 kids? A great place to live, lots of vacancies - something must be off

If anyone knows the area, how do you like it? Would it work for a family with 2 smallish kids? What are the people like?

Thanks for any insight,

Re: St. Prex

I have the same questions as above. What's the deal, is it a nice place for a young family?

Re: St. Prex

It's small and without much in terms of big shopping or nightlife or choice of doctors and schools etc . Plus it's "far" from Geneva and Lausanne .. That's why it's so available.

I think it's lovely too, i go there sometimes to visit when family come, just like Yvoire or Annecy.. I'm only 25k from there so I doubt it has any special rules

All down to what you want really.. Quiet, small, near the lake or big, noisy near the office? I chose the first option and love it, not St Prex but small village in VD.
