Checkout - what does this mean? [non-sealed unit double glazing]

we have recently checked out of our property and one of the comments on the checkout documents is

'Die fenster wurden gemass Auftrag von Frau xxx nur 2-seitig und nicht 4-seitig gereinigt'

I have read this that the windows were requested to be cleaned 2 sided and not 4 sided. We asked the cleaners to clean the windows both inside and out! Please can someone tell me how you clean windows four sided or have I misinterperated this paragragh? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Re: Checkout - what does this mean?

I imagine these are double windows. They need to be unscrewed and then you can access the other 2 inside panels. I did not know that these window "opened" either. It was our cleaner who showed me.

Re: Checkout - what does this mean?

Ahh now I know what you mean by this. I have seen this in the newer apartments. These the older type windows (wood frame with two pieces of glass) and some of them are just the normal double glazed windows. It seems it would be impossible to clean the inside of the glass! Thanks for your help

They may look like regular double glazed, but there could be a screw you've looked at 1,000 times and not really thought anything about it. Well, that's my story anyway!
