Foncia Lausanne not responsive

Not sure if it should go in Housing, but it is half warning, half venting... I want to share my experience so it might help others:

I am moving from Zurich to Lausanne for work. I signed up for Foncia's Service Privilége to help this process. It cost 500 CHF upon success, but I thought it would be well worth it after experiencing house hunting in Zurich and not being local for visits.

The "privilege" is apparently calling and emailing many times over the course of 3 weeks to never get any replies or offers. The one time I got through to my agent, the reply was 'well we have been pretty busy, we will call soon'. That was about a week ago. Over the past week there have been 3-4 apartments per day fitting the criteria on the web.

Probably obvious, but please be careful if you are hiring an agent. Ask around for recommendations first.

Re: Foncia Lausanne not responsive

I'm moving this to Housing in General as, to me, this is not a rant but hopefully a true picture of your experience with this firm. If the firm picks up this Thread and thinks your judgement unfair, they can get in touch with us/you.

Just for the record - to a Mod there is a great difference between a post like this and a new member screaming blue murder in a text littered with spelling mistakes and lacking in punctuation and format. (This isn't a dig at non-native speakers, but anyone should be able to run a spelling check and hit the space-bar occasionally to make the text easier to read)

It isn't 'fair' and doesn't prove anything but it helps the credibility rating when the member has a couple of dozen posts, a few thanks, not too many groans and maybe a bit of rep!

If you wind up cancelling with Foncia if they don't move their behinds and don't mind shelling out more, Swiss Access has always worked great for people at my old job. With their price (a couple thousand) it should be awesome anyway, but it is. Lausanne's housing market sucks so I feel for you

Having had dealings with Foncia as a Régie and PPE administrator in the past, my recommendation would be to avoid them at all costs.
