Questions about subletting my old apartment

hi forum,

i am planning to move a bigger appartment in zurich. The only thing is that I really dont want to give my old small apartment (it's so difficult to get a apartment near zurich hb...), so i could move back to it if things dont work out in the bigger apartment... so i am thinking abouot subletting the old apartment.

My idea would be to sublet it to somebody with a contract that can be terminated at a 3 months period or similar.

Anybody has experience with that?
I believe that subletting is legal as long as i dont overcharge and i inform my agency, but what about the 3 month period?

thanks!
