Where can I get some soil for my plants?

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question. I want to grow some plants in my house. But I really don't know where I can get some soil. I don't really see soil that is uncovered with grass in Switzerland. I live in Lausanne.

Do you know where I can get some soil here? I don't really to "buy" soil, it's ridiculous, but I cannot find any.

UNless you know a friendly farmer or soeone with a large composting bin making soil, I think you are going tobe stuck with buying your soil in bags fro a garden centre, or soe of the supermarkets. I actually quite like the bagged stuff - guarantee'd free from weeds and generally with enough additives to feed the potted plants for months.

Sorry, soil - like most things in Switzerland - is generally not free.

Buy it from any garden center -including CoopB/H, Migros Do-It, Hornbach, and Landi as mentioned.

---

And an FYI, one has to be careful when picking plants or wildflowers. In public conservation areas it it strictly forbidden - and on private land it can get you accused of theft.

In case you don't have a car, send me a pm and I'll take you with me next time I go to the garden centre, which I do frequently.
