Mr Nasty, and Vaud law

Hi all. Some may remember I posted recently about problems with our landlord building apartments next to our house. I have since been to ASLOCA and they beieve we have a good case.

What I did not understand is whether the law states that a landlord should provide written notification of impending building works, and an update during the duration of the works. Does anyone know the law?

Also, our landlord is the most unbelievably arrogant man who believes he can do what he wants. A letter from ASLOCA will infuriate him. Anyone have any experience of vindictive landlords and what they might do (we're giving notice in any case and will leave before the end of the year). Thanks to all.

Mod note: This is the thread referred to Construction complaints???

I don't think your landlord will do anything vindictive. You are already going to leave so I guess he'll just sit tight until you go.

He's now already in the sights of ASLOCA so if he's unlikely to do anything that will give them or you more ammunition. I would just stay out of his way as much as possible.
