It seems like the dirt is holding it together pretty well. Have you tried cleaning it? I mean... ever?
Touché!

The picture is surprisingly similar to yours.

Yes, I've seen that same fixture in two different kitchens in Geneva from the 80s or whereabouts.

Re: Billed 260CHF to change a light bulb!

You're paying for the 20yrs of time served experience for the electrician to do the job properly, not the 10mins it took them to do the job.

You could have tried yourself, messed up the job and it costing you CHF1500 to remedy it?

Re: Billed 260CHF to change a light bulb!

Well, OK.

In case you dont know this...

Agents are in Vampire mode.

I know this because I am the House man for a global business.

1st few emails get ignored. We put a stop to that. Dont know how it happened, not my business but even after this the agent is still not doing a proper job of...

Responding in a timely fashion.

Actualy doing a proper job, instead of a quick/mean fix, which is what is still happening.

You go half hearted into these issues and you will get Vampired.

Join a organization that protects your rights, look through this web site at how others, RECENTLY have solved problems.

If the agent smells a weak client then you had best change their attitude, or your wallet will pay.

You should be in full research mode now.

Good luck.

Found it!

It was made by Osram, model Lumilux Combi EL-F. Discontinued obviously.

Re: Billed 260CHF to change a light bulb!

it was resolved by the Regie. They sent an electrician who came with the new thing, broke the old one and put the new led on - now the kitchen is as shiny as Wembley during a match...

The electrician told me the old one is not meant to be replaced (mean, the bulb); the whole thing has to be taken off and the new one installed. The building was built in 2008 so good 12 years.
