Parking space

Hi,

We don't have a car anymore. Do you know if it's possible to remove from the rental contract the parking fees or to sublet it?

Thanks
A

Re: Parking space

parking contract is norm 3 months notice...... you need to check your parking contract for details.

Re: Parking space

Advertise as a sub-let it on Migros and Coop notice boards.

Re: Parking space

No problem if you inform the company 3 months earlier...in our agreement it says that we can resine from the parking place twice a year with three months notice

Re: Parking space

If it's a separate contract I think it's straightforward, just like giving up any contract. Give notice for the next formal exit point (probably end of next March!), but also look for someone to take over from you earlier. If you're in a development with shared parking, stick a notice on the common doors asking if anyone is interested on taking the contract since they're the most likely takers.

We're taking a storage room off one of our neighbours this way.

If it's not a separate contract, I have no idea but I imagine it's complicated... Possibly you could sub-let, but that's just a guess.

Re: Parking space

Subletting is certainly allowed, or you can just find someone to take over (if it's separate from your apartment), which is how I got my two garages.
