Looking for an electrician in Geneva

Hi,

does anyone know any electrician or person capable of doing small electric jobs in the city? I just need to change an oven's plug to suit it to my new appartment and the electrician offered by the régie wants to charge me around 200 francs and I believe that's too much for a half an hour job...

thanks!

Change a plug? Are you sure that's it? That shouldn't take you half an hour if you do it yourself. But if you want to pay an electrician to get out of bed and do it for you ... well ... depends where he lives, I guess. I reckon you should give it a go yourself - how hard can it be!

Fully agree, not dificult to change a standard 3 pin plug, 3 wires and it's done.

Now an oven works on 380v and has 5 wires.....so maybe not such a good idea to dick around if you don't know what you're doing

Chf 200.-- with call out, travel to and from the site, admin fee, that sounds about right.

Re: Looking for an electrician in Geneva

I'd do it myself, but as "Today only" points out, it's neither a normal plug nor a normal lamp, I don't want to burn my appartment for saving a bit of money :P

so if 200CHF is alright then I'll just call that guy...
