Rental market final quarter

Does anyone know how the rental market works? Eg are there months of the year in which property is in high demand and others when it is stagnant?

Thanks for any knowledge on this!

Re: Rental market final quarter

Usually peaks around the 'official moving dates'. Not sure when they are in your area, but in Zurich I think May and September. With a three month notice period, expect lots of apartments to appear for rent, advertising appearing February and June, with move dates in May-June and September-October.

It's unconventional to move house between November and February. It's quite miserable to move house in the snow...

Thank you. Interesting. I want to move mid winter, but can't shift my place right now. It seems the market has just gone v quiet. As I'm new, I was not sure if this was a pattern, or economical. Appreciate the reply.
