Re: Skiers: best resorts to buy flats to rent

Well, the plot thickens and gets stuck in the mud.. The new Lex Weber (which comes into effect January 1st) will limit to 20% the number of secondary residences in many places - with the ski resorts being the focus. This means people are desperate to sell before that date to people wanting to rent out the property - like we would be. But if we ever wanted to sell, we would find it almost impossible - we'd have to sell to somebody who lived in the commune and used the property as a primary residence.

Thanks, Doris Leuthard...

Not really, you buy a holiday home now & it will be a holiday home later! It was never going to be anything other than a holiday home, rather than your main residence.

The date has been postponed a few months, obviously the French speakers advising you are out of date!
